Monthly Meetings
Monthly meetings are free, open to the public, and offer educational, informative archaeological presentations. Typically we have a lecture the second Monday of most months. The months of July and August are reserved for potluck meetings outdoors or at a member’s home.
Volunteer OpportunitiesCAS-GJ, as well as other non-profit organizations in the area, are always looking for volunteers. We share all volunteer opportunities that we find throughout the grand valley here on our website. Book ClubWe have a book club meeting at a local downtown book store Out West Books on a somewhat regular basis. Readers who attend choose titles to be read in future months. Many of the books have been by local or regional authors. In some cases the author has even attended our book club meeting to enrich and enliven the discussion. Suggested Reading ListYou do not need to be a paid chapter member to participate in the book club! | Field Trips
Field trips, scheduled throughout the year, are open to members of CAS-GJ and other CAS chapters if space allows. Field trip participants must be current on their dues. We encourage new members to participate. Detailed information is available on Meetup.com.
Educational OpportunitiesWe are always finding educational opportunities to share with our members and the community. Whether archaeological or something related, you can find information and links here on our site. Annual Conference
Information coming soon about the CAS-GJ annual conference. For event information see our calendar.
